The Pub
Enjoy a casual breakfast or lunch at "The Pub". Get eggs
and toast made to order, bagels, cookies and donuts for
breakfast. For lunch try one of our sandwiches, homemade soups, our
famous chili or the Daily Special. A great place to meet
your neighbors and friends!
The Art Studio
Many Canterbury residents come here with a profound appreciation
for art. Many of them have talents (sometimes that just need to be
re-awakened) which are cultivated by our art teacher, Janet
Davison. We boast a large and lively Art Studio where our residents
can learn different forms of art or they can re-discover a former
passion. Our residents' art is on display in our studio as
well as when we have resident art shows.
Resident Business Center
Here our residents and visitors alike can check their e-mail,
print information from the computer, and use the copier or paper
shredder. Our residents love the large-screened computers and
large-print keyboards in our business center. Not tech-savvy?
That's okay, our Events and Programming staff hold weekly
one-on-one computer lessons for those who are eager to learn.
The St. George Room
This is a meeting room available to residents to use for book
clubs, discussion groups, etc. There is a beautiful piano here for
all to use plus a library.
The Chaucer Room
This game room allows everyone to try his or her hand at any
number of card games or chess with a beautiful view of the gardens.
There is also a large tv for watching sports, movies, etc. with
other residents.
Fund Development
Visit our office to learn about our Annual Golf Outing, Good
Samaritan Gala, Eden Garden Walk and many other charitable giving
opportunities. You can also honor someone special by purchasing an
engraved brick to place in our commemorative brick walkway.
Ye "Olde" Shoppe
Our Canterbury Gift Shop, "Ye Olde Shoppe",
operates Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 1:30pm and then
again 3pm-4:30pm. Our shop has a "little bit of everything". If you
are looking for a last-minute gift, a snack, an "essential" you ran
out of, our shop is just the place. Stop by and check out our great
line of jewelry and purses.
The Lochshire Beauty Salon
The Lochshire Salon & Windsor Spa allows our
residents a full-service salon and spa under one roof … their roof.
We have four hair stylists on staff who offer services ranging from
haircuts, color, perms and men's services. We have two nail
technicians who are at your service and ready to pamper you with a
manicure or pedicure in our peaceful spa setting.
Wellness Center and Exercise Room
Our Wellness Center and Exercise room offers a
full range of exercise opportunities from weight training to
exercise equipment. Our instructors are helpful and can accommodate
all levels of fitness. There are two flat screen tv's for residents

Activity Office/Travel Hub
Residents can stop by to visit the activity staff
for Southminster and The Leas for an update on our wonderful
activities at Canterbury. Residents can sign-up for trips and
review menus for the next outing on our Canterbury bus!
The Clinic
Our Physician's Clinic is accessible to all three
levels of care. The clinic is a fully functional, multi-purpose
office equipped for complete dental, physical, vision, and podiatry
examinations and procedures. Canterbury's own "on-site" physicians
are available to provide treatment and assist residents with all of
their health needs.
