The Leas - Assisted Living Apartments

Assisted Living includes the following amenities:

•   Three meals per day served in the Leas charming dining room
•   All utilities, except phone
•   Personal care staffing 24 hours per day
•   24-hour emergency alert system
•  Twice weekly stand-by assistance with showers (optional)
•  Assistance with clothing items (buttons, footwear, etc…)
•   Light housekeeping weekly
•    Weekly laundering and changing of bed and bath linens
•    Direct TV (basic cable channels)
•    Weekly scheduled transportation (banks, grocery stores, etc)
•    Educational, spiritual and recreational activity programs
•    Security guards on duty 2^nd and 3^rd shifts
•    Priority entrance to other levels of our community
•   Med reminders through our pharmacy and staff                       

Ancillary Services Available for additional fee thru Campus Care:

The Leas is a special community of 39 apartment homes designed to provide the highest level of independence for each resident’s functioning level. The Leas are gracious, private units which residents decorate with furnishings from home. They offer gathering places and lounges, a restaurant-style dining room for three daily meals, a full activity schedule including music therapy, crafts and gardening plus recreational outings. With 24-hour staffing, medication reminders and assistance with activities of daily living, residents and their families are assured of safety, comfort and dignity.

The Leas at Canterbury on-the-Lake is distinguished by our people. Our staff is warm and caring; many have been here since opening day in 1994. Volunteers from Southminster, our independent apartment homes, also provide camaraderie and a sense of community. Most importantly, our residents and staff describe themselves as an extended family providing unconditional support to one another.
